If you create the account in the name of the recipient, they will receive a renewal invoice in one year, and can choose whether to continue paying for the Vanity Domain. If you create the account in your own name, you will receive the renewal notice.

If the domain name is a gift, we'll send the recipient an email to announce your gift, and to explain how to use the new email address.
